Wording for honeymoon shower/bachelorette party invitations?

Question by Staci: Wording for honeymoon shower/bachelorette party invitations?
I'm throwing a shower/bachelorette party for my sister-in-law-to-be. She has already had a traditional bridal shower with toasters/kitchen gadgets. I want this shower to be honeymoon distinct. How do I ask guests to bring gifts from sunscreen to sexy lingerie? Also, soon after the shower we are preparing a girls night out. How do I let guests know they will be responsible for their own cover charges, and so on.?

You call it a Lingerie Party and don't mention the gifts. Men and women know what to bring, think me, and they WILL surprise you and feel of stuff you by no means did ) So just send out the invites without having any mention of gifts (as is appropriate) and you'll have a genuinely excellent time.

As for going out later, you might mention on the phone (not on the invite) that "hey, we're going to a couple bars later, you want to come?". This casual invitation carries the message "you're paying for oneself" on it. If it had been on the invitation (paper), it would mean you're paying.
